building a nest; Heron
taking care of me; Male
mates for life; 17 moons
and for death; Aurora's Faithful
understanding that step; Hunter
one glimpse; Blue-gray, black-striped tabby tom with beautiful dark-green eyes
portrait based on sight;
Heron is a robust blue-gray tom that stands on tenacious paws. His claws are a dull brown and sharp, able to prick and enter skin at the slightest intrusion. He has a long curling tail, bearing bands of dark-blue and light-blue. His thick creamy chest and neck ascends to his angular, pink-nosed face. His eyes, wide and bright, are a shimmering shade of moonlit jade, and between them lays the tabby M. Heron's cobalt pelt is short and soft, riddled with typical silky fur. When he's emotional, his fur puffs out like a hedgehog's. Then, navy-blue hairs stick out more, the ones closest to his skin. He also has a stripe of cerulean-colored fur that trails from his horn-like ears to his tail. From the stripe, his azure fur tends to become lighter all the way around his body.
portrait based on speech;
Rather quiet, reserved and loving, Heron is an amiable but lonely tom. He likes company, whether it be in silence or to talk, but not a lot of people talk to him. He appreciates beauty and does not present a large terror of commonly-feared things such as owls and Two-legs. He likes the seasons of Newleaf and Leaf-fall because of the beautiful flowers and leaves, and would enjoy giving cats gifts if they only listened or talked to him, or just paid a speck of attention to him, for Aurora‘s sake. He tends to act like he doesn‘t care when cats hurt him, but deep inside, he cries alone. He loves to day-dream a lot because in his dreams, he has friends, and he likes to bathe in the sunlight whenever possible. He probably doesn’t have much of a temper. He tries to stay happy and he’s really intelligent, but he seems to be the one the others like to beat up on and ignore. He doesn't like to fight and would rather help cats even though they hiss and spit at him.
portrait based on self;
Now a leader's son, Heron was not so when he was first conceived. His father is Cobalt and his mother was Dawn. He was born two moons before his father was named heir by the former leader Sage. Heron was a friendly, playful kit, born in the light of Aurora, and proud of his father for becoming second-in-command. He outgrew any setbacks he faced, though he was shy and somewhat shunned by the others, and he was rewarded with apprenticeship when he was six moons old. Sage named his father as his mentor. He tried to do his best, through thick and thin, but things seemed to turn for the worst. Two moons into his apprenticeship, his mother died, having fallen on some rocks, and his father was head-deep in despair, drowning in pain and heartache in the medicine den. At the same time, Heron fell ill and he did his best to comfort his father even though sometimes, he was so sick, he didn't even recognize Cobalt. However, when they both felt better, they resumed training and soon got over Dawn's death. Heron was made warrior with the help of his father in his twelfth moon. Several moons after that, his father was made chief of Aurora's Faithful.
