These are the tryouts for the cheif of Aurora's Faithful. Use the biography form, please. All the normal rules apply. But this cat must not be short tempered or anything like that; they should be vague, slightly dreamy, and determined to stick to their beliefs. A bit like Stonteller.
Good luck.

x now we are getting into the details. xx
[ the body ] Wait! Don't start drawing Cobalt's figure! That piece of paper you are using is way too small. Yeah, I know it's regular sized paper but this cat here is not a regular sized cat. Here, use this poster board. Thats better now isn't it? Now lets start with the basic body shape. Yes, Cobalt is a very big tomcat. He is probably one of the biggest cats you will ever see. I'm talking big here. His bones are thickly built and to top that off, he is a very muscular cat. His shoulders are broad which helps make his step heavy and sometimes, quite loud. Each leg is built to match is massive size so make them long and thick when you draw them please. His paws are also huge with long sharp black claws at the end. His tail? Well thats a long story. His once long tail was cut off in a massive rock fall that he was in, leaving him with one horrible wound, half of his tail had been ripped off. Luckily it was healed. Cobalt's neck is thick and a tad short for his body, but his large wedge shaped head makes up for it. His head is fully occupied by two ears, two eyes, a nose, and a mouth, all function properly and all are used with care. [ the pelt ] Oh, the fur? Alright. It's truly not that long, you see, maybe about medium length or even a tad shorter. He isn't too great about keeping it clean all the time and its usually ragged and matted unless someone shares tongues with him at meal time. Usually, he is too busy but back to the point. His pelt. When it is well groomed, its silky and soft but he finds that too feminine. Color? Ah yes. Cobalt's fur is an interesting gray color but in the sun, it seems as though it is tinted with a shade of blue, which was one of the reasons why he received his name. On top of that odd gray fur are thick black or dark gray stripes, depending on how close to his spine the black is. If it's near the spine, it will be thick and black. Closer to the ground, thinner and dark gray. At his paws, the stripes fade to just the odd gray color. His half a tail is solid black and so are his ears. [ the eyes ] Eyes you say? You want to know what color his eyes are? Cobalt's eyes are just a color, they are a tone, a mood. The color cobalt isn't just blue. It's a dark deep blue with some kind of mood to it. It's also the twenty-seventh element on the periodic table and a transition metal. Don't ask me how I know that one. Anyway, that color, cobalt, is the color of Cobalt's eyes, which is the main reason why he was named what he was named. But those amazing orbs are not just cobalt. Starting from the edge of the iris. There is a black ring, almost like a border, around the eye and as you head to the pupil, the eye changes from a very dark cobalt to a dark cobalt to a cobalt to and so on. But that very last ring it's almost teal and then boom! Black darkness where the pupil lays.
x inside i am a whole other story. xx
[ patient ] No matter how old you are, where you are from, or who you believe in, Cobalt is patient. He may not be the kindest cat to run into during a intruder alert but he is always one to want to know the story before he kill the poor cat. The cat could have been an innocent soul. This virtue allows him to be gentle and kind to young kits. They do not annoy him unless they aren't doing the right thing or possibly putting themselves in danger. He is always patient with apprentices he trains. If they are slow learners and it takes them longer to learn a certain move, he is fine with it. Just keep trying. He encourages and makes it more fun for the kit, all because he doesn't rush it. To older cats or elders, he can be a bit more strict but he is always kind to them. He barely has a temper and rarely ever shows it. Even in battle, he keeps that temper down, trying to make peace with the enemy. That's what he is. A peaceful patient cat. Perfect so far, eh? [ determined ] Cobalt is determined to do all things that a cheif of a tribe would want to do. Stick to a code, feed your cats, protect them, and keep it going. Just by all means don't like your cats fail. He doesn't want them to fail in life or Aurora. Yes, the Goddess of Aurora's Faithful. She is worshiped and loved. Obeyed and sacrifices are made to her every so often. Cobalt is determined to stick to the beliefs that ancestors passed down about Aurora's Faithful and the Goddess herself. He is determined to never let her down and to obey her at all costs, even if it means to sacrifice an young kit or another cat. He believes in her more then any other cheif ever had and he is determined not to let Aurora's Faithful become some sort of Clan. No. They will always be Aurora's Faithful. [ fearless ] Did your parents or guardians ever say to you that they are not afraid of anything when you were a young child? Did you believe them? Did they ever freak out at something and you realize that they lied to you? Well, even if that never happened, Cobalt is one that would say that to you and prove to you that he is fearless. He isn't afraid of one thing except for losing his daughter but that is a personal fright. He isn't afraid of death because he knows that Aurora will guide him up to the light and protect his group of cats even though he isn't there to protect them himself. He isn't afraid to fight because he knows that his cat will fight for their lives and if they try their best and don't lose any cats, Cobalt will be happy. But he isn't afraid to fight for his rights. He isn't afraid to do much at all. So I guess you could say he is brave. Very brave. [ dreamy ] Dreamy I guess you could say... Sort of mysterious but very different. First of all, his voice sounds wise and dreamy which is odd and different. It kind of just flows along, words connecting to other words to make new words and sentences run together to create breath control practice. He is quiet most of the time and expresses thoughts but his emotions. He day dreams a lot and spends a lot of time thinking things over before doing what needs to be done. He is like a poem, his world flows together to create a melody that gracefully waves through the breeze of the tower as it sways back and forth at the top where kits are dropped. He is difficult to explain but surely a very odd tomcat. When you know his true personality, the dreamy side, you will see how odd but perfect he is for cheif.
x look in the eyes of what has passed. xx
[ before ] Copper and Willow met when they were being trained. They spent much time hunting together as well as battle training together and in no time, they were super great friends. As they grew older, Copper confessed his love for Willow but Willow rejected him, telling him that she only wanted to be good friends. Their friendship broke apart long time and during that time Willow and Copper both trained apprentices and Willow made a lifelong friendship with another cat named Neon. Moons went by and Copper watched Willow and Neon together. Yeah he was jealous but he wanted Willow. Neon understood and after long she-cat to she-cat talks, Willow was able to approach Copper again and apologize. In no time, the three were hunting together. This is where in got confusing. Copper ended up having an affair with both Neon and Willow and then he ran away, laughing that even though he hadn't won Willow, he had hurt her. He had broken up Neon and Willow's friendship. Or did he? [ kit moons ] Willow died at birth. She didn't want to be there and neither did Neon. They didn't pick to have kits, it just happened. Willow lost too much blood and then died of weakness. Her two kits could only be taken care of Neon, Willow's dear best friend. Neon had one small she-cat who she loved dearly and the three kits were named, Zinc, Cobalt, and Dawn. Zinc was the obnoxious and self-centered one, Cobalt was the mysterious dreary one, and Dawn was the peppy upbeat kit who always kept the others on the tips of their claws. They didn't play much, those little kits, especially not Cobalt. He was bigger then the other two. Much bigger and he was afraid that he would squish them. Zinc's self-centered attitude didn't last long. A hawk swooped into the tower and Zinc though he could protect his siblings. Nope. He failed and was taken away by the hawk. His body was found many days later, torn and broken. [ training moons ] Shortly after Zinc's burial, Dawn and Cobalt were given their mentors so they could begin training. Cobalt's mentor was a skinny dark brown tabby tom named Stick. His name really fit his looks for he looked just like a stick. In no time, Cobalt towered over his mentor but Stick was fast which made Cobalt realize that it wasn't about size that counted, but how quick and strong you were compared to your enemies. He enjoyed fighting better then hunting because his heavy step made it hard for him to catch anything. Stick taught him good techniques. Stick was also a strict follower to Aurora which rubbed off of Cobalt immensely. Stick was truly Cobalt's role model. During training, two things happened. Bad news first right? Well Neon died of Blackcough which made Cobalt run to Dawn for support. They comforted each other and ( good news ) in the end, became extremely close. More then friends you could say. [ warrior moons ] Cobalt and Dawn were made warriors of Aurora's Faithful when they were about twelve moons old. They were still coming out from a comforting saddened stage and spent a lot of time together, hunting and patrolling. Cobalt had fallen in love with his den mate but he had no idea if she loved him back. He didn't dare to ask. And he didn't dare to admit his feelings for her. Stick died from starvation near the end of Leafbare that season and for some reason it didn't surprise Cobalt. From getting to know his mentor, he realized how little he ate. It seemed like he really was trying to starve himself. He went into a stage where he only talked to Dawn, feeling like if he had just pushed Stick to eat more, he would have survived and through all the comforting and sorrow, crying and weeping, Cobalt finally admitted how much Dawn meant to him and how much he loved her. Stunned but serious Dawn admitted that she also loved him. Not long after their confessions, Cobalt was brought before his first apprentice and a feisty little one too. Her name was Daisy and she was a small creamy colored she-cat with a sassy attitude. He easily whipped the smart mouth of her face and taught her all Stick taught him. In no, she was a warrior of Aurora's Faithful and Cobalt was only proud of himself. Several moons passed and Dawn was in the nursery, pregnant with their kits. He spent a lot of time with her until the kit was born. A single tiny dark stone gray kitten who they named Dusk. Two moons later, Cobalt was suddenly made into the cheif's second-in-command. [ second-in-command moons ] Cobalt was shocked when he was made into second-in-command but took the position without hesitation. This position wasn't an actually position but he was assigned to help the cheif in any possible way. Dawn, Daisy, and his two moon old kit, Dusk, were all very proud of him and for four long moons he was busy making patrol, hunting, and all of the other duties he needed to do. He got to know his cheif, Sage, a little better and together they lead Aurora's Faithful. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until Sage decided to give Cobalt a challenge. Yes, give him an apprentice. Luckily, it was Dusk but she sure was a handful. She wasn't peppy but depressed and sad all the time. What happened next didn't help. They only trained for two moons until one day Cobalt and Dawn were walking on the boulder path. Down the hill they went but Dawn slipped and began to fall, Cobalt caught her but rocks were coming after them. One caught his tail and everything came to a standstill, except Dawn falling, falling, falling... She fell to the ground and when she hit, Cobalt felt his head tear in two, as well as his tail. He returned to camp with her body and fell unconscious. Cobalt spent a whole moon in the Healer's den healing and mourning the death of his mate. He came out of the den with half a tail and a broken heart but reassuming training with Dusk helped and together they got over the death. At forty moons, Cobalt was made into Cheif. [ cheif moons ] It was strange how it happened but Sage just died of old age one day. Maybe it was a heart attack but who knows. But as she suffered her death, she told Cobalt never to let Aurora's Faithful fall and always to follow Aurora as well as Cobalts heart. He would never forget her words and would always cherish them. He trained with Dusk for two more moons and then she was made a warrior of Aurora's Faithful. Now he leads Aurora's Faithful through it's hardships and it's pleasure in life. He will never let them down if they never let him down.
